What to expect from an event at Moran Theater at Times Union Center

The center has two main performance spaces – the Moran Theater and Jacoby Hall. The Moran Theater is the larger of the two, known for its stunning acoustics and seating capacity (approximately 2,000 seats). This theater hosts major Broadway shows, concerts, and large-scale events. 

Jacoby Hall, located within the same complex, is an intimate venue with about 1,700 seats and is primarily used for symphony orchestra performances, chamber music, and smaller concerts.

The Moran Theater is known for its great acoustics and elegant design, making it ideal for a wide range of performances, from Broadway shows to concerts, ballets, and symphonies. So, whatever show you decide to see, you’re guaranteed a premium listening experience. 

The theater has undergone renovations and improvements over the years, with a range of modern amenities installed – without detracting from any of the unique charm of the original design. VIP packages or special seating options are usually available for those who want a more luxurious experience. 

Considered the ‘premiere riverfront entertainment facility,’ the theater is located in the heart of downtown Jacksonville, situated along the St. Johns River. Standing outside, you’ll get amazing views of the river flowing through.
